Matthew Walsh is a partner in the firm’s Business Law Department. He joined Goodwin Procter in 2006.

Mr. Walsh acts primarily as counsel for middle-market private equity funds and their portfolio companies, advising on leveraged buyouts, asset acquisitions, mergers, early stage and growth equity investments, recapitalizations, reorganizations, private tender offers and general ongoing business law matters.

Mr. Walsh advises clients in a variety of industry sectors, including healthcare, education, technology, business services and consumer.

While attending law school, Mr. Walsh served as Managing Editor of the Annual Survey of White Collar Crime published by the American Criminal Law Review, for which he co-authored "Obstruction of Justice", 42 Am. Crim. L. Rev. 721 (2005).

Mr. Walsh was a summer associate at Goodwin Procter and also interned in the Enforcement Bureau of the Federal Communications Commission.
