Jamie Hutchinson is a partner in the firm’s Business Law Department and a member of its Private Equity and Technology Companies Groups. Mr. Hutchinson also serves on the firm's Executive Committee. He practices in the areas of corporate, securities and private equity transactional law, primarily on behalf of private investment funds and their portfolio companies. Mr. Hutchinson is a key contributor to the Goodwin Procter Founders Workbench, an online resource for start-ups, emerging companies and the entrepreneurial community. He joined Goodwin Procter in 2006.

Mr. Hutchinson’s practice involves a full range of domestic and cross-border corporate and commercial transactions, including leveraged buy-outs, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital transactions, direct secondary and private company liquidity programs, joint ventures and general corporate matters for public and private companies, private investment funds, and family offices. Mr. Hutchinson works with companies across a broad range of industries, including Internet and technology based businesses, financial service companies and consumer products firms.

Mr. Hutchinson has been selected for inclusion in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business and The Legal 500 U.S. Mr. Hutchinson was recognized by the American Lawyer in its 2012 "Dealmakers of the Year" edition for his work on private liquidity transactions in issuers such as Facebook, Zynga and Twitter.

Prior to joining Goodwin Procter, Mr. Hutchinson was a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Hogan & Hartson.
